RSVPs now open for this Discussion meetup. (If you RSVP, please show!) This is the monthly discussion meetup, as opposed to the Write-In. Once again we're encouraging individuals to bring samples of work they'd like to share around, or are looking for feedback on. PLEASE BRING AT LEAST 4 COPIES if you bring a sample. Please try to make them 1-4 pages long.

The way this has worked is that the copies are shared around and rotated til everyone has had had a chance to look at each of them, and then we go around and talk about them in a conversational manner.

Please realize that this is not an intensive workshop type of meetup, but more for constructive criticism / positive reinforcement and sharing of your thoughts about writing. We'll mark copies with pen as we read, but our goal isn't an intensive analysis of texts.

From there, we'll branch into conversation about writing and the craft of writing, based off of what we read of one-another's work.

Dominican Joe is a cafe environment, and it is calm but sometimes there's the sound of an espresso machine. If somewhat-lively environments don't work well for you, consider freeing your slot for someone. There is a parking lot, though it fills; come early if you are able.

The table area for us will be to the right as you enter, on the raised entry platform area (this will make sense when you enter). I'll have tables scooted together, starting with 6, and we can pull in more tables as needed.

See you then!

- Heath
