I love beer...even cooking with it. Need I say more?! :-)
Sorry, I typed Adrienne. I know your name is Carrie.
"Hey Adrienne! My name is Catherine and I have a 9 month old baby girl. I'm interested in getting together with other moms that have younger babies. Any interest?"
Hi Carrie, Welcome to the couples group! Your son is adorable. We hope to meet you soon!!! ~ Steve & Cindy
Hi Carrie, I attempted to send you a message yesterday but for some reason it wouldn't post. We enjoy this park because it has a nice area for the smaller kids. My son only stands, doesn't walk yet, so he swings, digs in the rocks, people watches, and does the "stander" level playground toys like the "X & O" board. Lots to keep him entertained. There are always other friendly parents there to chat with. Hope to see you Thursday.
Hi Carrie, It was great meeting you and Talen today. Hopefully we can do a spur of the moment camping trip before it gets ungodly hot.
That sounds good. I really hope we can go. It's tough not having a car. When I moved here, since we lived in South Austin there wasn't much need for a car cause I took the bus to class and got around town just fine on the bus. My husband had the car so if we really needed to go somewhere in it, we'd take his car. Living up here though is a completely different story. My mom recently moved out of the country and left me her car but unfortunately it's full of problems so now I wait :/
Yeah, I do miss Austin but like you said, living up here has its perks...like not dealing with tourists :P You didn't live very far from where I lived before marriage and a kid :P I lived off East Oltorf in the ghetto but I totally miss it, lol. As far as the age thing, I don't hang out with anyone my own age. Most of them are still going downtown getting drunk and looking for a hookup. They think I'm nuts to have a kid at 25 so pretty much anyone I talk to is older than me but that's okay.
I'm a stay-at-home mom, too and definitely agree with you on the solitude thing. I look forward to meeting you in person. Welcome to the group!
