Let's have a classy casual dinner at Trento! This is one of Austin's new fine dining restaurants. We'll start at the bar at 6pm for a drink then dine about 6:30pm.
"Ate dinner at Trento for the 2nd time in early December. Nicely lit, comfortable, cozy, atmosphere (in other words, good for a romantic evening or casual evening, not the least bit pretentious or stuffy). Greeted and seated promptly. Serve came to the table promptly too, lovely personality, efficient but very likeable, not sycophantic. Drink order filled promptly, along with easy discussion of food choices, also promptly requested. Veal meatball appetizer was outstanding, in some sort of green (herb) sauce. Two of the three in our party had a daily fish special. I forgot the type of fish, but they both enjoyed it, and it was quite appealing in presentation too (and, I had a few bites, was very good). I ordered the cioppino, which was served appropriately hot (in terms of temperature), and had a nice variety of seafood, and was served in a fennel broth, a nice change from the tomato sauce / broth oriented presentation at most places."
