I'm sure it will be Petra! Maybe I should have said 'crazy' or 'Typically Australian' rather than stupid :-)

Hello All, Would I be able to bring my daughter with me? She is almost six. If not, then, I will have to give this a miss.... although it would be amazing if KRudd gets back in... Mike

I think that should be fine, but as long as she is mature enough to realise daddy is supporting the wrong party!! :-) see you then. Maybe bring her during the day rather than evening time. Ring the bar if not sure. thanks

Isn't this the actual date for the election? are we wanting somewhere we can watch it or just a drinks thing? what were you thinking Stevo?

    August 13, 2013

    • Stephen 'Stevo' A.

Yep, the election was brought forward by 1 week. I was going to look for a pub with BBQ facilities, such as The Avalon in Balham, or The Elk in Fulham etc etc. Don't think too many people will be fussed about watching it, but there may be a few commiseration drinks needed depending on the result...!

I'm away that weekend. Blame Rudd for changing the date.

Whoops, Jon & I are away as well!

    August 12, 2013

Anyone want to take this over, as I'll be away?

    Petria...???

    August 12, 2013

  • Stephen 'Stevo' A.

    Hi all,

Due to the change of date for the election, I am no longer able to host (or attend) this event due to a stag weekend.

Anyone want to take over organising this one, or should I just simply cancel this event???

    Cheers,
    Stevo

Does anyone know of a park with public BBQ facilities? I do have a decent backyard, but my housemates will draw the line at having dozens of aussies over for a party! I know Ravenscourt and Holland Parks are really nice, but not sure if they have barbies

You can buy a 'disposable' BBQ for 5 quid. i have been dying to try one out!

Have used a couple of those... they work quite well! Good fun to turn a non-BBQ facility into a proper nosh up!

Sounds good! I'll be up for that... any excuse for a good night of drinking & (hopefully) some Aussie rock music on the CD player!
