Know that feeling well :) Seriously consider coming to the Hong Kong summit if you can ... it's a whole different world! Looking forward to when we can rope you in to doing a presentation ...

Anyone know how one can obtain the nvp software in the vmware presentation for evaluation with quantum?

    May 28

    • Marten Hauville

Daniel if it is for business eval purposes, I'd suggest following up through Tim Hartman. The product is commercial not open-source, so not easy to obtain as eval. Certainly you can easily obtain the open-source OpenvSwitch, but that is not as capable!

Great presentations, though maybe one less presenter would be best.

Hi Tom, the format was perfect. Just with so many vendor presentations it is quite alot to digest. IMHO there are two distinct approaches: 1. OpenStack community/stack perspective on interopability - more community dev focus; 2. Vendor approach to OpenStack and SDN - heavy product focus. Apart from Michael's, all the presentations took the #2 "Vendor" approach. This inherently adopts vendor-centric technical marketing detail, which though interesting and relevant - can get intricate and cumbersome. I'm looking forward to the next meetup and would love to get involved in more detail around Security and Storage, particularly with the updates in Grizzly.

Am I the only one who thought the timing actually seemed a bit snug? Google hangouts aside, the sections had a tight timeframe given the material, but I enjoyed each one. I signed up expecting it'd take at least the time scheduled, so no complaints here.

Someone should be down shortly Rupert, the guy handling the door is currently presenting. Won't be long I think.

If you are looking for a venue for Sydney, I'd be happy to make the NetApp boardroom available with reasonable notice. Has seating for around 30 - 50 people. I'd also be happy to help out with logistics for Sydney more generally.
