Foundations of Circling Course

Hello Authentic Portland!

Many of you have asked us for opportunities to go deeper and to connect with the larger Authentic community.  We’re excited to share a great opportunity to experience deep connection through the practice of Circling (aka Intersubjective Meditation).  Circling is a bit hard to describe, but my personal definition is that it is a relational practice of open curiosity with another person(s) that can lead to profound transformation through being seen at a level deeper than many of us are used to in our daily lives.

Authentic World is offering a two day, 18-hour Foundations of Circling Course in San Francisco on April 27-28.   Here’s more info:  http://www.authenticworld.org/discover-the-foundations-of-circling/

The price is $375 for the weekend, and the price goes up April 18.  However, if we can round up 5 Portlanders to go down, the price will be $300 per person and will be held at that level up to the date of the event. Either way, at $300 or $375, this is a screaming deal for 18 hours of workshop, as most of AW’s weekend intensives are $1,000 or more (granted they are 3 days and go a bit deeper).  The people who will lead this weekend are transformational Jedis and amazing teachers.

If you are interested, please post here or email me, Anne, Jason, or Whit.  Include whether you will want to carpool and if you will want help finding housing for the weekend.  We can help explore opportunities for staying with members of the Authentic World community in San Francisco to keep costs down.

For transparency, Authentic Portland leaders don’t get any monetary benefit from getting folks signed up for this course (or any AW course), so there’s no hard sell here.  We have each personally benefited so tremendously from circling, AW courses, and the larger community that we love to share the information and opportunities.  And, we really want to grow and deepen Authentic Portland and start a group of committed circlers, so we’d love to see folks experience circling and connection at the deeper levels that these courses offer.

Please don’t hesitate to contact one of the AP leaders with questions!

Hello! My friend Greg and I are coming in from Portland to attend this workshop. We are wondering if there would be any possibility of staying with anyone from this group. Open to trades, financial or other. Thanks, Satori [masked]

Ok, I have tickets to San Francisco and flying on the same flights as Sonia. My friend Satori will be going too, so that brings the total number of Portlanders to 3. Is anybody else going? Hopefully we can get two more to go by April 18th so we can get the discounted rate!

Awesome Greg!! So here's the resort https://www.worldmarktheclub.com/resorts/sn/
I will let you know when I get a room. I will probably make a back up plan because sometimes they don't tell you until the day before which can be stressful. As for the cost I was thinking $50-$75 total for both nights.
My flight gets to San Francisco on Saturday at 8:30am and I fly out on Monday at 7am. Not ideal, but it will be fine. My number is[masked] if you'd rather talk.

Ok, I've registered, too! Now I have to figure out how to get down there. Sonia... what times are your flights? I might look into flying if the price is right. And Sonia, what is this resort you're talking about and how much is that? Looking forward to going!!

It's all good :) I am super excited to be going and it would be awesome if more people from Portland go too :) I am on a waiting list for the resort so that may still be an option for a place to stay for someone. It is 1.5 miles from Authentic World.

Just got a plane ticket for $147.00 on Alaska airlines. FYI Pretty good price. I thought someone said along the way it was $300 for the course??? I just paid $375.

I'm so sorry Sonia, I looked back at the email and the deal was $300 if we have 5 Portlander's to go down, otherwise it's the same price as everyone else is paying.... $375, and the price goes up to $475 on April 18th. My sincere apologies, I totally misrepresented that in the email. Let me know if that's a problem for you, and I'm changing the post right now to be more clear.

Hopefully we'll have a few more to go down, and you'll get some money back. :)

Wooo!! I might be interested too! It's been too long since I've had a good dose of the larger Authentic community, and I'm hunnnnngry for it.

Awesome, glad you guys are leading the charge! Who else is up for this adventure?

Count me in! I would love to carpool. I will check into my resort in San Francisco. It's downtown and if available could be an option for a couple of people. If it's not then I would like to talk housing options :)

I am very interested in going as a carpool, any way to keep costs down would be appreciated. Let's make this happen!
