From Blog to Book: The Adventure Begins

An increasing number of really terrific books had their genesis in really terrific blogs. There is something about the episodic-by-nature creation of the blog that instructs with regards to the discipline of writing a book, and also helps organize material. Whatever the case, once a blogger has been seriously blogging for a while, the next step is often: what now? And, quite often, the answer is: book!

Join us for an evening with instructors from the Publishing Success Network while they talk about what to do and where to begin when moving from blog to book.

Murray Baker is the author of The Debt-Free Graduate, which was an immense success as a traditionally published book, but which has sold over a hundred thousand copies since Baker began self-publishing it.

David Middleton is the art director of January Magazine and an internationally published artist and designer. He has designed books and book covers for publishers throughout the US and Canada.

There will also be a strong networking component to the evening and even those not currently planning a book will have the opportunity for networking with other authors and asking questions of our expert.

Schedule of events:

6:30pm Sign in, name tags and networking

7:15pm Individual introductions

7:35pm From Blog to Book: The Adventure Begins: talk followed by discussion and Q&A

8:45pm Networking

Just noticed this post (with comments) about mystery book titles - and thought of Linda's list of future or possible titles.: http://marilynmeredith.blogspot.ca/2013/04/coming-up-with-titles.html

So bummed I couldn't make it. My husband's flight was delayed and I couldn't find a sitter. So... when can I read everyone's book? ;)

Some of my readers (all three of them, actually) often ask when I'm writing a book. So... exciting!
