The Not-So-Typical Autism Support Group focuses on the wellbeing of the caregivers of autistic children. We are based on the principle that in order to provide the best for your child, you must provide the best for yourself.
Provided by Hope4Autism in partnership with Wild Heart Coaching, the Not-So-Typical Support group focuses on helping parents of autistic children open up new possibilities and choices in their lives.
Join us Tuesday, October 8 for our Not-So-Typical Support Group's monthly topic "Acceptance of 'What Is' and Creating a New Normal."
Life with a child on the spectrum can seem anything but "normal." How do you deal with feeling different and having an unpredictable path?
Acceptance is not easy, but practicing it can help us see that we are "Creating a New Normal" day by day in our families. This session will help you to:
- Feel like you belong in a community
- Feel the support of other parents facing the same things you do
- Explore what acceptance means to you
- Feel more free to embrace your unique situation!
Join us for an uplifting and empowering discussion, Tuesday, October 8 at the Hartford Public Library, 500 Main Street in downtown Hartford. We are located in the Bank of America Seminar room at the top of the main staircase.
Parking is free after 6pm. Parking lot is in back of the library.
Refreshments are provided!
