The Coulee Classic Rally

With a little help from friends who have volunteered to help with checkpoints while running as cars 1, 2, and 3 plus my finding the route instructions from last year's Coulee Tour which provided the mileaged instructions needed in order to turn left out of Maiden Rock we're back to being able to run the Coulee as a timed rally or a non-timed tour.

Hope to see some of you in Maiden Rock tomorrow morning. Registration will be from 10:00 to 10:45 with an 11:00AM start.

Thanks,

Ed

An easy all-paved Monte Carlo style rally using the excellent sports car roads running through Wisconsin’s ultra-scenic coulee country.

The easy to follow instructions and timing at its most straightforward make this an excellent choice for those new to rallying while the roads are guaranteed to keep the most experienced rallyists entertained. Run it as a timed event or just ignore the timing and drive it as one of the best tours that you’ve driven. We guarantee that you’ll see roads that you never dreamed existed in the Upper Midwest.

There will be a limit of 20 cars. Your RSVP will count for 1 car with two people. If you add a guest, we'll assume that you have a friend that will be bringing a second car. (We highly recommend that you bring a navigator/companion to read the route instructions while you're left to pay attention to the driving.)

Meet at: Maiden Rock Village Park on the shores of Lake Pepin in Maiden Rock, WI.

Registration: 10:00 to 10:45 AM

First Car Out: 11:01AM, First Car In: Approx. 4:45PM

Ends with pizza at the Nelson Stone Barn.

Cost: Day of the event: $15/Italian cars, $20/Others; Pre-registration by 7/8: $5/Italian cars $10/Others; AROC-SdN: Free if RSVP'd by 7/8 and you bring your Alfa.

Jamey and I had a blast at the event. Wondering if you post results on this site or send them via email.

Thanks for organizing! This is a great event but we unfortunately cannot commit to a whole day. That said, a drive down to Maiden Rock for the start may be possible. There is a new member for the SdN family I'd like to introduce...

Kim and I hope to have the Healey with an operating, if not accurate, odo/speedo system this year.

They do excellent pizza, wine, beer, and ice cream - but no other menu items. Check the menu at: http://nelsonstonebarn.com/artisanfoods.htm

This looks to be a possibility. Is there other menu choices at the 'NS Barn'?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
