June Hang Out in Philly!

We're finally bringing the singles group to Philly! We're meeting between 2 and 2:30 on the steps of the art museum (We'll say up the steps on the right side). Once we're all together, we'll decide if we want to do one of the museums, maybe spend a little time outside, and grab some dinner together. Thanks for being flexible! It's more about the people and the experience than the place :)

If you need to reach me or are running late, text or call[masked]

Sorry to hear from those who can't make it. May you have a happy weekend despite any issues arising. I don't know how late we'll be in the city so if anything changes maybe you can still meet us later. Just call or text of anything changes. [masked] For everyone driving, there is a lot in front of the museum (the parkway loops around it) it's only $12 to park until midnight. I just got here and will be waiting for the rest of you :)

For those interested in Transcendental Medidation, there is a great Medidation Center on Tammany Farm in Doylestown. Tonight is a vegetarian dinner for many couples and singles alike to join together. Great people - Carole and Joe. Check it out. http://www.tm.org/

Thanks for thinking of us MaryAnn. We don't use this group to advertise other events because there is always something else going on, somewhere :) If anyone ever has a suggestion, please let me know via email, and I may choose to offer it to the group. Thanks!

OK, we're meeting at the top right side of the Art Museum steps. I figure that's an easy enough place for everyone to find. I'm making the meeting time between 2 and 2:30 to give a little window, so get there on the earlier side if you can. We'll decide from there if we want to do one of the museums, or if something else catches our fancy, and we'll grab some dinner after. Thanks for being flexible with this. My number is[masked]-4856. Please keep me up-to-date if you decide not to come or are running late. Looking forward to it :)

P.S. I love the idea of the irish festival but I would no idea where to even tell people to meet. If anyone is really up for an adventure, we could do the fair in the morning starting at 11 and get to the museum by 2.

I know you are looking into the city but the Irish festival sounds good...Pennypack park isn't too bad...not as many people as Kelly Drive. Sooo many things to do in the city along with just walking around.

My apologies for the delay for posting more about this Sat. I wanted to see how the weather was going to be and if there were any events going on. It's supposed to be a great day and I would love to spend some time outside in the afternoon and then we can all grab dinner together someplace. This group, to me, is more about people and connections than it is about locations. I'm happy to start out around Love Park or the art museum and then choose as a group to go for a walk or hit a museum (I like winging things on a nice day, I know some prefer a set plan, time and place). There is a big Irish festival gong on all day, although its actually in NE Philly at Pennypack Park, and the point of the day was to keep this in the city for those who live there. Feel free to toss out a few more ideas or favorite things to do.

I'm flexible. I like what u said- it's ab the connection w people more than the place. I love Irish music, so if people change their minds ab leaving the city, I'm good with that too.

    Hi Greg,

Has a location or a place been decided yet? Just checking.

I also posted in the discussion board about a free coupon for Tortugas Cocina in Lambertville. If anyone would like the coupon, I'd send it as a PDF Attachment to their e-mail. Coupon expires July 3, 2013. Didn't know where to post it.

    Thanks,

    Ed G.

This sounds good Greg! I am always up for walking, wine tastings, a Di Bruno Bros field trip, jazz at Chris Cafe...just some ideas. Maybe there will be some festivals that day as well.
