Eye gazing meditation, personal sharing and closed eye meditation.
The weekly drop-in meditation group begins with participants practicing eye gazing meditation with each person present. After eye gazing, participants have an opportunity to be deeply listened to as they share about their process of deepening into life (i.e., you are silently and actively listened to for a fixed time, and/or you can ask for input and support). Finally, everyone relaxes into a silent, eyes closed meditation for the last 20-40 minutes of the meeting.
Participation is continually optional: during eye gazing, you can close your eyes at any time; during personal sharing, you can choose to meditate, sing, dance, ask for hands on healing, etc - with the whole group’s safety in mind; and during the meditation, you can drift into as much thinking, sleeping, visualisation or imagination as you like! There's no dogma to accept, no boundaries to push past, and no requirement to be other than you are.
The gatherings are held at a private residence in Mitcham, Melbourne, starting at 7:30pm and finishing at 9:30pm. You are welcome to arrive from 7:15pm. Please confirm your attendance beforehand to ensure you can be notified if any schedule changes occur. Unfortunately meet-up RSVP's do not always reflect actual attendance.
This is a completely free offering, but yes, donations are warmly welcomed.
The group is open to all – regardless of age, belief, gender, ethnicity, or religious or spiritual affiliation – provided:
a) if you are under 18 years old, you have a responsible adult with you,
b) if you require physical assistance or other medical care, you are able to arrange the support you need, and
c) the facilitator considers you capable of participating in a self-responsible manner that is respectful and supportive of maintaining a safe container for all others present.
If you have any questions about the gathering please make contact directly.
