Welcome, Naples Area Awakened Dreamers!

There is an exciting, grass roots, social/political/ecological movement gaining momentum across the country and across the globe. If you have been looking for a way to get involved, or further involved, to be inspired and to inspire others who feel as you do, this is a perfect opportunity to ride the wave! You are all invited to attend a very moving and inspiring, Symposium entitled, “Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream” that I will be scheduling throughout the upcoming months. I'm so excited to offer you an opportunity to participate in this groundswell of co-operative activity and optimism!

The Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposium is a program of the Pachamama Alliance (www.pachamama.org) a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring forth an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, and socially just human presence on the planet.

The Symposium's goal is to contribute to the creation of a global movement of awakened people who are informed about our predicament, optimistic about creating a new possibility for our modern world and galvanized in interdependence to take action now to ensure our healthy and sustainable future. It encourages a profound inquiry into a bold vision, and invites you to explore what this vision means to you.

Using video clips from some of the world's most respected thinkers, along with inspiring short films, cutting edge information and dynamic group interactions, the Symposium allows participants to gain new insights into the challenges with which we are faced, and the opportunity to shape and impact the direction of our future with our everyday choices and action.

The aim of the Symposium is not merely to learn more about the world, but to grapple and come to grips with the very assumptions that underlie the way we ourselves see the world and our place in it, and with what each of us can do - both individually and cooperatively - to move the world in this new direction. The symposium asks 4 questions. Where are we? How did we get here? Where do we want to go? And how do we make that dream real?
