One Equal Share, the local Time Exchange (Time Bank) that Leslie Morpeth has built for our community, is having a Getting-To-Know-You Potluck Lunch. The event allows active members of the Time Exchange to get to know each other in a completely social atmosphere in the very entertaining Bodhimandala. It is also an opportunity to bring friends and acquaintances who might be interested in learning about this growing network. As it's a completely social event, it's about the easiest way to expose them to this novel and empowering concept.
Please bring a dish to share at lunch. Bring a main dish, an appetizer, a dessert, or drinks, if it appeals to you it'll be well received here. There is a pool at Bodhimandala and you are certainly welcome to bring a bathing suit.
The event ends at 2 pm and a number of us will head directly over to the Unity Center in the Valley for the Movie Viewing and Discussion of the Ryan Reynolds movie, "The Nines." A trio of entwining storylines in which Reynold's character is the main character discovering that he is God who has gotten lost in his lila, his playing down here on Earth. The movie provides ample metaphors, adding a number of tools to our self-discovery tool box. We'll officially begin the discussion at 3pm and should be done around 6:30 so people can still plan dinner and a night out on the town.
