International best-seller, renowned spiritual authority, and hilariously entertaining public speaker Tim Freke is coming to Las Vegas for several events culminating in the three-day experiential Magical Mystery Experience. Tim Freke (pronounced “freak”) is a passionate and entertaining voice for our collective awakening, whose enthusiasm for life is contagious. Tim is the founder of The Alliance for Lucid Living and on the board of advisors for Team Humanity; organizations dedicated to our collective awakening. He is often featured in documentary films and chat shows broadcast by the global media such as the BBC and the History Channel.

So what is going to happen during the three-day event? Tim will create a relaxed yet focused environment in which to explore the mysteries of life and death in a profound yet entertaining way, leading to an individual and collective awakening to the ‘Magical Mystery Experience’.

PHILOSOPHY: Tim will share his groundbreaking philosophy of ‘lucid living’ to help you become conscious of your essential nature which is one with all and to fully engage with the personal adventure of your unique life. Throughout the weekend there will be the opportunity to ask questions and converse with Tim, both during sessions and privately during breaks.

PRACTICE: You will be taught a simple but powerful ‘mystery of the moment’ meditation method, which will allow you to become ‘deep awake’. He will also guide you through a number of ‘connecting I to I’ techniques which use our everyday experience of seeing hearing and feeling to allow us to become conscious of shared essential nature and communion with others.

COMMUNITY: These weekends attract amazing men and women of all ages and backgrounds. There is usually a mix of people coming for the first time and others who have attended previous events, returning to go deeper into the magical mystery experience. A profound sense of community quickly develops, offering a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and share meaningful conversations with fellow explorers of the mystery of life.

MYSTERY CEREMONY: After sunset on the Saturday night we will create beautiful space, full of sparkling candles and heart-opening music, in which to enjoy a special evening. During this time we will draw on what we have learned during the day to connect deeply with each other in the wonder of oneness and bliss of big love.

WHAT’S AN EVENT WITH TIM FREKE LIKE?
This fall, Kitty and I were heading out to San Francisco to attend the Science and Nonduality Conference when Kitty saw that Tim was going to be speaking at the conference. She did a little research and discovered that he was holding a one-day event while we were there so we went. It was the highlight of our trip.

The workshop was very experiential and very intimate. (The Las Vegas weekend event will be capped at a maximum of 30 people to keep the intimacy high.) Tim makes himself very accessible, much more so than I have encountered with any other author, spiritual or otherwise. The exercises were similar to those that we have experienced in our tantra pujas that we had in late 2009. The Las Vegas event is going to be a three day event that will go late on Saturday, so there is a lot to cover and too much fun to be had.

I had read both Lucid Living and his latest book, How Long is Now?, before attending the one-day event and I felt that having done so enhanced my experience. The message from the San Francisco event that stuck with both Kitty and I was Tim’s passion for his concept that he refers to as Both/And (as opposed to Either/Or). While seeking Enlightenment, Tim encountered many situations where people seemed torn between two perspectives. They seemed stuck on one side or the other, either fully spiritual or entirely materialistic; all about absolute reality or entrenched in the relative world of Maya. Tim encourages us to learn how to embrace both worlds so that we can have the freedom provided by understanding the illusory nature of this reality while maintaining a love and respect for the life that we have been living. If you’re afraid that Enlightenment means that you’ll become desireless and lose the joy of living, then you could use a good dose of Tim Freke.

Are you looking to connect with people who are wide awake or waking up? Are you ready for the end of your excuse that "I can't find anyone like me in Las Vegas. Vegas is just the party scene." Have you been looking for a place where you can speak your mind and the group is non-judgmental? Our group has grown from a weekly discussion group into more of a dynamic, active community. Every week we are connecting with one or two more solid individuals and they almost all say the same thing: I have found it. It's like a new pair of jeans that fit perfect the first time you wear them. In the broad spectrum of Enlightenment and Spirituality the focus of this group is Consciousness and Awareness. In pop-culture terms, most of us are interested in getting out of the default mode of allowing our ego to control our thoughts and actions and getting very presently into the Now. Once we stop allowing our stories to control our lives we look to be come more aware, both of the environment that we have traditionally viewed as external as well as the universe that we discover when we look within. The group itself has no dogma nor leader; each individual member is on their own path, has their own personal paradigm, and a number of them have a teacher or guru to whom they turn for guidance. Along the way many of us have studied material from teachers such as Eckhart Tolle, Adyashanti, Richard Moss, Alan Watts, Jim MacKenna and Jed McKenna, J. Krishnamurti and U.G. Krishnamurti, Louix Dor Dempriey (Bhagavan Sri Pranananda), Osho, Franklin Merrell-Wolff, Tim Freke, Vernon Howard, Ramana Maharshi, Nisargardatta Maharaj, Richard Rose, and Douglas Harding. Many of us have found our way to this material through authors and speakers such as Deepak Chopra, Esther and Jerry Hicks (Abraham), Byron Katie, Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, James Redfield (The Celestine Prophecy), Gary Zukav, Leonard Jacobson, David Hawkins, Joe Vitale, Michael Beckwith, Doreen Virtue, Seth, Michael, Emmanuel, and through gateways such as A Course In Miracles, The Secret, and What the Bleep Do We Know. We also seem to learn from the most visible sages and philosophical systems like Siddhartha Guatma (Buddha) and Buddhism; Lao Tzu and Taoism; Hinduism; the Vedas, Gitas and Upanishads; and yes, the teachings of Jesus himself (and contrasting it with the religion that was created around his teachings hundreds of years after his life on Earth.) Ultimately, however, we emphasize the divinity within ourselves. Our teachers have done what they can to point towards the Truth, but many of us have come to realize the danger of placing authority outside of ourselves. The diversity in our education allows us to draw from the various thought systems that came before us so that we can build our own truth, our own personal paradigm. We strive to create an open atmosphere so that our members can feel comfortable in discussing their ideas, testing them out to see if they fit. Some of us have even found through this process that rather than building our paradigm we are stripping it down to the core. Whether you are new to these concepts or already have a solid foundation, the Awareness Group is a good place to connect with others that are right there with you.
