Hike Breakhart (and after party at Fat Cactus Mexicali Cantina)

Because of the bad weather today and the fact that it's SNOWING at Monadnock, tomorrow's hike is changed to Breakhart. This is a much easier hike, so if you were looking for something ultra challenging, this is not your spot! However, for those who still wanted to get out and get some fresh air, meet new people and have fun, please join me!

Breakhart is just 30 minutes north of Boston, and is a really fun place to go for an easy hike. Let's get out and enjoy Spring!!

Hi everyone, due to the current weather conditions at Monadnock right now, it is going to make hiking tomorrow pretty dangerous. As mentioned, the trails are pretty slippery and there is snow at the top. I am not THAT experienced in winter hiking and I don't have the proper equipment. Therefor, I am going to reschedule this hike for a month out so we can go when the weather is nicer! For those who still want to hike, I am more than willing to host a hike in the local area. I know the Ridge Trail in Breakhart pretty well (Breakhart is in Wakefield/Saugus) and there is a good view of Boston. We could go out for lunch after the hike. We could meet at 1pm, hike for 2 hours and then do lunch after at the Fat Cactus restaurant on Route 1. Please let me know if you would like to do this hike tomorrow. Email me at [masked] or email me here on the site

I will reschedule the Monadnock hike for one month out. Please update your RSVP!

Hey guys, I don't have a car but I'm willing to participate on gas expenses and be a good co-driver (I'm in Newton but can commute to basically any metro stations)! Never been to NH, I'm pretty excited

Unfortunately won't be able to make it to this one. Will need to spend the day preparing to move. Hope to make it another time!

Sorry to say I will no longer be attending due to a broken ankle I suffered two days ago. Happy climbing to all those still going and I'd love to join in next time!

Forgot to mention - I'll happily jump on any carpooling, as well! I live in Somerville, but can travel via public transportation to whatever meet up point is most convenient to whomever is driving.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
