Welcome Spring! Karaoke Dance Party For Charity @ Payag Restaurant

  • Apr 4, 2014 · 9:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This is guaranteed to be an awesome party complete with hijinks, laughs and other entertaining performances by several members. If you haven't noticed by now, our group is like a microcosm of the UN where everyone gets along... kind of... The diversity in this group has always been ridiculous and our common love for the outdoors, adventure, and just having a fun time on our trips is our signature.

PARTY DETAILS:

If you haven't been able to go to any events before, this is a perfect opportunity to just meet people in the group over some good food and drinks. We are a pretty friendly, outgoing and fun-loving bunch that all share one thing in common... A great love for the outdoors, adventure, good friends and a great sense of humor! (Or at least I think so) At least my comedic material is pretty damn good I think...

Adopt-A-Community in Philippines:

Last year I decided to turn the HOAGIES 3rd Annual Holiday Party into a fundraiser to help raise money for charity in direct support of relief efforts for the victims of the Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. So I decided to continue the tradition and help raise money to help rebuild in remote villages that were affected. I would rather give the proceeds to charity then to some random karaoke bar in the city!

Our group organizes a huge variety of events, but one of the things we are quite proud of is giving back to our community and helping out when needed. I've always believed in "Paying It Forward" and I know there are a lot of people in our group that love to do the same. You can be assured that all proceeds will be donated to reputable charities. We are working directly with Gawad Kalinga to help organize this party event.

COVER CHARGE:

Your $20 donation covers entrance, food and entertainment.

WHERE TO FIND US:

Please go to the basement level at Payag Restaurant to pay the $20 donation and obtain your bracelet or stamp. You'll meet the main group here and once you get the bracelet, you'll be able covered for food and entrance fee.

FOOD:

All food is free and included in the party cover charge. Most of the food will be Filipino food and will be located in the basement area.

DRINKS:

We'll have exclusive use of the bar and you'll be able to buy all types drinks. We will be here all night partying until the early morning!

ENTERTAINMENT:

We'll have a DJ and a host of other people donating their time to help liven this party up.  You can probably expect a lot dancing, some singing, inappropriate jokes and random choreographed performances to "Baby Got Back" and "Eye of The Tiger" and other classics! I  have my choreography down, I just need some willing backup dancers and white girls with valley voices...

Here's a bit of a challenge, if anybody wants to battle me in karaoke and take my crown... bring it! I've been undefeated for years and pretty confident in my comedic karaoke performances.. lol  Myself, Janet and Kelly will be hosting this jam, so with all the dancing, food and entertainment, this will be more then worth your $20 donation cover charge.
