High Speed Go-Cart Racing @ F1 Boston!!!

The date is in stone.

Before I say anything else. DO NOT DRINK ANY ALCOHOL BEFORE THE RACE! They have a very strict policy against this and if you order a single drink, you can't race for 6 hours, last that I knew. Feel free to order food and soda.

F1 Boston used to be a racquet club and now offers competitive racing. All-day tag team racing as well as single races are available.

You get to drive carts with a maximum speed of 30 mph, wear full professional racing gear, and participate in a multiple-lap race, complete with 10 second penalties for rule violations.

The technology they have is impressive, which includes the ability to remote-control carts when someone on the track is egregiously abusing the rules.

It is located in Braintree on the South Shore and not convenient to public transportation. Please do not let this affect your decision to attend. We, as a group, will do whatever we can to offer a complete ride to & from, or from the nearest MBTA stop, which is probably Braintree on the Red Line.

Please visit www.f1boston.com for more information about the facility.

Ok everyone... I got here at noon and spoke with management and got set up. Please meet everyone in the restaurant/bar area and look for me on my laptop & the Rubik's Cubes. Blue glasses. Blue and black shirt. Jessica D., the joint organizer, will also be around.

After 2:15, we will be leaving the area and you will have to look for us in front of the track, which at this point will be track 2.

It is no longer necessary to call in advance to reserve a time if you haven't already. Doing so wouldn't be of much help at this point anyway. There's practically no one here.

Most of us are booked for 2:40 & 2:50. Please ask for one of those 2 times when you get here. If not; select whatever works for you.

    See you soon!

    Hi everyone,

Please update your RSVPs. It only takes a second to do.

    Q: Do I need to register/reserve a race time?

IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Call F1 Boston at[masked] and press "0". Pick a time between 2:30 pm and 3:15 pm. If you have the discount, you'll need your voucher#. Q: I didn't buy a voucher in time. Can I still go?

Full price is $38. Please call F1 to reserve.

    Q: Is there parking?

    Tons of it.

    Q: Can I get there by T?

Not easily. Braintree station on the Red Line is the closest stop. Rides are up to you individually. Please on the message board. Q: How do I find everyone?

I will either put up a meetup sign and/or set up Rubik's Cubes, like I always do. Please don't post "where is everyone?" or "come find me".

    Q: Can I bring a friend?

There is no limit to the number of people you want to bring.

Q: What are we doing after?

There is a bar/restaurant inside the building. We will hang out there as well as in the racing area watching each other.

Ok guys. It's official! We've set a date. Also the great news is there's a coupon through Amazon Local (like Groupon) for $19. You must buy this in advance and it's good for any day if in case you can't make it.

If you don't buy the ticket, you will have to pay full price at the door, which is about double.

    Here's what to do:

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
