Geek-Out with Axure

**Important Note: We will be on the 22nd floor tomorrow**

To prevent hangups at the security desk: Make sure the organizers have your first and last name and that of any guests you are bringing, if you have not listed it here, in the meetup signup.

Meeting Topics brought to you by some of our Axure Enthusiasts from Orbitz:

  1. A mobile web demo that includes the use of variables to maintain states and approach to navigating versions and version history on a mobile device.
  2. An approach to triggering actions on scroll.
  3. A high fidelity usability prototype demonstrating filter/map interactions as well as quick and dirty auto complete.
  4. A native app prototype to test out new features.

Reminder to thank our hosts, Acquity group, and our pizza sponsor Axure!

Out of curiosity, has anyone come across an example .rp for the method Mark demonstrated? I have seen it used for fixing headers to the top of the page, but never for flyouts or collapsible navigation.

Mark - also here's an example of elastic snapping using image maps. It's a mobile prototype but maybe it'll help with your carousel issue. You can see the actions on the 'dp_content' panel and the image maps are under the content in that panel's 'State1'. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3649247/elastic_snap.rp

I always enjoy going and learning things. The discussions are very helpful.

Good case study/discussion on variables and helpful contributors discussing & white boarding possible solutions. Lots of good questions. For my first Axure meetup, I came away with a great impression on the group and plan on attending more in the future. Axure field notes swag was an unexpected bonus.

Awesome presentation by Mark today! Thanks Mark! Here are two resources I told you about: http://bit.ly/Zfeoms (complex solution) and http://bit.ly/T8Kqy6 (see tip #5, image map for buttons).
