An excursion to St Albans

St Albans is about 40 minutes from Aylesbury, and well worth a visit for some culture and retail therapy. Our provisional itinerary is to arrive in St Albans at 10:45am for a visit to the Museum of St Albans. We'll then go next door to the Courtyard Cafe for some lunch (delicious and not too expensive) before heading into town to browse the market. At 2pm we'll join a free hour-long tour of St Albans Cathedral*, before strolling back through town past the shops. The plan is to leave St Albans at ca 5pm.

* If we're more than say 6 people we may have to get our own tour; I'll need to confirm the price.

I would like to say I really had a lovely day. Relaxed and fun company and we managed to do so much in the day, which included cultural tours of cathedral, tower and museum to take time out to paddle in freezing cold water.. Thank you

Try to visit Verulamium Park & the Roman ruins just along from the Abbey? I once worked in Snorbans - market can be hit or miss, but enjoy

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
