Building Hybrid Applications on the Windows Azure Platform

Ershad Nozari will be presenting on 'Building Hybrid Applications on the Windows Azure Platform'. Ershad will talk about common issues you will encounter when building applications that run partly in the cloud and partly on-premises, or when you decide to migrate some elements of an existing on-premises application to the cloud. He will present 'Patterns and Best Practises' on how to solve those challenges. Ershad will demonstrate migrating an existing on-premises application to the cloud and show how to take advantage of the many features of the Windows Azure Platform to maximize security, performance scalability, and availability. The following technologies will be briefly discussed during the session

Cloud Services - Web Role, Worker Role & VM Role

SQL Database - SQL Reporting and SQL Azure Data Sync

Access Control - Federated authentication

Service Bus - Messaging Asynchronous Queues/Topics and Synchronous Relay

Cache - Distributed Cache

Ershad is a Solution Architect and a Senior Developer with 10 years’ experience as a Consultant. Ershad comes from a middleware background having primarily worked with Integration using Microsoft BizTalk Server. Ershad has worked on numerous large scale Enterprise Application Deployments across a number of verticals. During the course of last year Ershad has shifted his focus to Cloud Computing and has been digging deep into Microsoft’s Cloud Platform Windows Azure.

It was quite an interesting topic, and, well presented.
I hope there will be more in depth sessions for each of the specific cloud technologies, like the Service Bus, Queing service, authentication and etc.
    Many Thanks
