Meeting and Anniversary Celebration!

Screen Reader Accessibility and Awareness
What kinds of accessibility options are available? As a Networking professional, IT support person, and concerned individual, come to this session to learn more about the options that are available for those needing assistance working with their computer systems. Our speaker is Katherine Moss and this meeting will be a chance to learn more about an area we should all be aware of.

Anniversary Celebration! Did you know that BNUG was founded in December of 1986, 27 years ago? You've got to come to this meeting and help us celebrate. Yes, you can have some of our cake and eat it too!

John, I agree. I was impressed with the software Katherine uses to help her "read" (verbalize portions of) a page and the fact that she was able to do this on a borrowed laptop made the presentation even more impressive.

Thanks to Glenn for letting her use his laptop.

Condolences to Katherine on the demise of her personal laptop.

I think Katherine did a good job opening peoples eyes about accessibility issues for the visually impaired.

I first got involved with BNUG in January 1987 at the group's second meeting. When did you first hear about BNUG?
    Remember the Pub Crawls?
    Remember the LAN Ahoy cruises?
    What else do you remember?

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
