Aug. 3rd Walk

Our Sunken Meadow walk is a long time coming but on Sunday Aug 3rd it will come to fruition. Unfortunately in my first encounter this week with this park I only had the chance to walk the boardwalk so I didn’t get to explore the many trails that it offers, so we’ll be depending on our members who have knowledge of the park and its surroundings to guide us. I talked with a park official and he suggested getting to the park before 11pm on Sunday because the parking lot can get fairly crowded. The boardwalk is three quarters of a mile long. We'll walk it once and then take one of the trails that meander through the woods. We’ll talk it over when we meet to begin our walk. Admission to the park is $8. (Empire pass is now $59)
