Tackapausha Preserve

On Saturday we'll be exploring the Preserve known as Tackapausha. And old Indian name probably meaning "clean up this mess", which they recently did. Now it's mostly clear of downed trees that blocked the main paths. This will be about a 4 mile walk on a mostly flat dirt surface, some roots involved. Hope you can join us.---Lee

A sunny warm humid day, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the deep woodsy foliage ...felt like the rain forest for a while. Great to see everyone. Thanks again Lee for finding new trails for us to enjoy. Nice pictures Pete!

A bit challenging trying to avoid sloshing through the mud, but very enjoyable nonetheless. It looks like summer snuck up on us when we weren't looking.

I enjoyed walking through the woods and my second time doing it. I really felt the nature around me with the birds chirping and the trees and roots around with the pretty flowers and the fall colors. The weather definitely did a spin from being very wet and chilly to being very hot and humid. There is definitely no complaints on my part with that because summer is right around the corner. Good group as always and a lot of fun. Going to the Seaford Palace Diner was a good idea and the food and the service was great. Good day with everyone.
