The last time we walked Wantagh Park it was really hot, no such problem this time. Our walk will begin along the scenic East Bay at Wantagh Park and through the side streets that lead to Mill Pond Park. We’ll then take the wooded path around Jones Pond and back into Wantagh Park, about a 5 mile journey on an easy flat surface.  Meeting place will be emailed to those attending. Hope you can join us.---Lee

Walk was a little longer than intended due to a last second route change. We ended up walking 5.8 miles.

enjoyed the peacefulness of the view at the bay and Lee led us around the damage of magnificent downed trees the lake. Great people, conversation, and exercise to warm up mind and body on a cloudy day.

No matter what kind of weather we have, the walks are enjoyable and the people make a big difference. We had a good group and yes it was chilly and cloudy but we did have a peak at the sun and as you kept walking and socializing, it warmed up and felt so good. It was a good day for a brisk walk and it was fun.
