Berkeley Science Review presents "Touch Me," A Bay Area Science Festival Event


BAASICS is helping the Berkeley Science Review with their October 27 "Touch Me" Bay Area Science Festival program about the science of touch. There will be some engaging talks from Berkeley researchers (details at Facebook and EventBrite links below) followed by a reception where you can build a microscope out of LEGOs, test mutant worms for their ability to sense touch, be a part of a experiment about touch sensation and emotion, and meet touch-sensitive robots and their creator.

Explore the science of touch sensation, including:
The molecular basis for touch sensation
Engineering touch sensation for robotics
Communicating emotion through touch


October 27, 6-10pm - Doors open at 6pm
6:30-8:00 PM - Late-night-show-style interviews with our host Kirsten (Dr. Kiki) Sanford
