LOCATION and second January meetup:
We have two meetups in January! Just a few days ago, BABS was invited to have a joint meetup with the MIL (Mechanic's Institute Library) writer's group in San Francisco on Wednesday, January 16th. We enthusiastically said yes, but since we already had a meetup booked for the 14th, we are keeping that date too. You get to decide which meetup you want to attend, and if you want to come to both, you are totally welcome to do so.
The two meetings are not exactly the same, but they're about the same topic: The launch process. I'll share the important distinctions between traditional (House) publishing launches and those by independent authors of print or digital books and blogs. At the San Francisco meeting, Anne Hill will talk further about all-purpose author platforms including the use of blogs to market your content. There are many similarities between blog marketing and book marketing, as they both involve attracting a loyal readership. Whether you're a book author or an avid blogger (or both!), this is essential material to learn.
To RSVP for this coming Monday, January 14th, at the Belvedere Community Center in Marin county, you're in the right spot.
To RSVP for the January 16th meetup, please click on that listing, not this one.
2013 is the year for cutting-edge publishing. Anne and I are committed to bringing BABS members the most current and productive tools for success with your content and products. To accomplish these goals, we have several important new additions coming for the BABS membership which will be announced soon.
RSVP HERE for Monday, January 14th at Belvedere Community Center.
