Have you ever wanted to unlock the secrets of navigating with a map and compass? Then this is just the weekend for you!
We have done many courses with Marshall Cale Navigation Training before and the course is nothing short of superb. Marshall specializes in providing expert navigation training for hillwalkers and the course is not only a huge learning experience but great fun too! In just 2 days you will learn to navigate safely and independently using a map and compass.
The course runs from Saturday morning to Sunday late afternoon. Accommodation is Friday and Saturday nights.

This delightful bunkhouse has 10 beds (rooms of 4, 4 and 2) all of which have been reserved for us. Depending on who is coming it may be necessary for a bedroom to be mixed sex. Bedding is provided.
Car sharing is recommended, also there is a good train service Euston or Paddington to Church Stretton. Please ask for advice, or look at the document in More/Files at the top of this page. Marshall can arrange a lift from the Station for those arriving Friday evening (please ask).
The bunkhouse is self catering and the kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. You will need food for breakfasts and pack lunches.
Nearest Supermarket is Coop Supermarket 2Km at Church Stretton, open[masked] Mon-Sat.
Also there is good food and local Ale at the nearby Yew Tree Inn. (Marshall will book a table for Saturday evening - not compulsory).
Tea Coffee and biscuits etc are provided during the course.
