BASHERT means soulmate, or "it was meant to be". It is also an acronym for "Blessed Are Souls wHo Enjoy and Respect Torah."

Always double check the calendar before traveling to the meetup. The physical location, the speaker, the topic, or the entire event may change for any number of different reasons.

Jewish singles of all ages, denominations, knowledge levels and affiliations will get together to socialize and study Torah, or listen to a jewish themed lecture, usually as presented by a guest speaker. Socializing over light Kosher snacks and refreshments will take place before and after the presentation. Other events will be held for couples and single professionals.

Topics may be based on parsha, the holidays, relationship advice mars and venus, current events as it relates to Jews, etc.

Expect some schedule changes due to holidays.

BASHERT will also meetup for events such as a picnic in the park, or as a group attending a larger Jewish function or charity event.

BASHERT promotes its functions in areas other than on Meetup, the number of people at the function will be much larger than the number of people attending from the meetup group alone.

Introductions will be made, so if you are shy, that is ok, we will help you break the ice.
