This event is co-hosted by the Bay-Area Drum Circle and the Pacific Drum Circles (http://www.meetup.com/PacificDrumCircles/). Kathy Quan will be on hand to do some facilitation for the first part. Free drumming after lunch. If you are a member of both groups, please only RSVP to one of the groups.
The location is a little known city park operated by the city of San Leandro. (It is NOT Lake Chabot Regional Park.) It's a small park nestled in a wooded valley area. Be sure to look at the map referenced above. See also http://www.sanleandro.org/depts/rec/parks/chabot.asp. This is what the entrance looks like.
DO NOT GO TO LAKE CHABOT REGIONAL PARK!
After you cross the bridge as you drive into the park, the area that I will try to get is on the right. We can use this area if it isn't reserved.
For the picnic, bring what you want to eat and drink. It's not a potluck, but sharing food is ok. We might be able to find a few tables to use, but not guaranteed. Paper plates, utensils and cups will be provided if you need them. We don't plan to BBQ just to keep it simple.
For the drum circle, bring a chair and your favorite drumming equipment.
The schedule will be:
noon - get the drumming going with Kath Quain doing some facilitation. 1:15 or 1:30 - eat lunch. After lunch, freeform drumming until we have had enough.
