Drum and Smell the Roses (3)

This meetup drum circle will be in San Jose at the Municipal Rose Garden park for the third time. This is a small park that has a large open area, some nice trees, and (I promise you) a rose garden. It's at the intersection of Naglee Ave. and Dana Ave., in the Rose Garden Neighborhood.

Parking is on the street (Naglee Ave.) near Hadley. From Naglee, enter the gate to the left of the rose garden. Follow the walkway and I hope to be on the raised area ahead and to the right.

Rest rooms are available and dogs are not allowed. Bring a chair or something to sit on.

I recommend that you plan time before or after the drumming to walk through the rose garden to "Smell the Roses".

What a beautiful day. I actually got a little sun burned...
Thanks to John for the oranges and Ai for the cookies as well☺

Thanks to all who braved the big 'maybe' chance of "a" was a beautiful day! As were the roses.
My experience: when two or more gather for drumming; most times the rain clouds hold off, wind turns to a breeze, sun smiles down, and the moon rises to the occasion!
Did you notice, when there are kids around, they naturally gravitate to the sound and want to play....they know. ♡

It was a beautiful spring like day and the ground was not soggy. We stayed until 3:30. Good people and good vibes. Some people wandering by stopped to listen to us. If you were a no-show, too bad - you missed a good one!

Weather raining here in Los Gatos. I agree with Susan. I will not make it today, next time!

Weather forecasts are saying partly cloudy, high 68, a little breezy. The ground may be soggy so bring your chair or something to keep your bottom and your drum dry.

I think I will be there. I will probably bail early to go watch SJ Taiko perform at the Matsuri festival in Japantown.

I noticed the map link above was messed up and I fixed it. Also I added this text to the description: " It's at the intersection of Naglee Ave. and Dana Ave., in the Rose Garden Neighborhood " just to avoid any confusion with the "Heritage Rose Garden" (don't go there).

One of my all time favorite places in San Jose. I've been there with Mom, Grandmas, and other special people.
