The “Drum, Eat, Drum” tradition continues! Still in a venue with a view, but this time a little closer to home. This drum circle will start at 5pm, then break for a pot luck dinner at 6:30, and resume for more drumming after we eat. The format will consist of lots of free-form, fast and furious drumming, so bring your groove.
On the ridge line just 20 minutes from highway 85, the host’s house is located very close to the intersection of Skyline Boulevard and Highway 9. Most maps and GPS’s know how to find it and the map link, above, shows you where it is. Once you’re on the right street (okay, more of a gravel road than a street), you can’t miss the green house on the left-hand side. Park anywhere near the house that isn’t blocking the road and come on in. If you feel up to it, come early, park at the house and go on a nice hike or mountain bike ride. The trails are very close. If you are going to attend, please include a comment letting everyone know what you are going to bring for the potluck. Beer and wine are allowed. Bryan will supply the plates, cups, and utensils. If you have a favorite chair or stool that you use for drumming, you are welcome and encouraged to bring it. Also, there will be extra drums and percussion toys to experiment with.
