Annie Leibovitz exhibit at SJ Museum of Art

Let's unpretentiously go see the Annie Leibovitz photography exhibit downtown. You may recognize her name from various popular magazines - she shoots all those great celebrity pics. This exhibit is her personal work without celebs, but has gotten good reviews.

The museum is open until 8 on the 3rd Thursday of every month, and tickets are $5 since we're going after 5pm. You can find more info here: http://www.sjmusart.org/

I'll be outside at one of the tables from 6-6:15 with a small sign displaying the meetup logo. If you will be later, message me to let me know and we'll wait, or, if you think you want to join us later, message me for my number so you can find us.

Optional coffee/dinner afterwards :)

I can even meet earlier if it works better for you, as I see your other comments about getting off work @ 3:30, but it's fine to keep to the scheduled time in case of someone else joining last minute.

Just sharing a thought - some of us are habitual slackers, spontaneous or not, and we need to play catch up, working extra hours after 5, sometimes 6 or even 7. By the time we get a bite to eat and freshen up, it is already close to 8. My point is, can we have some meetups after 8, may be 9, where we could talk, drink, hike, watch the city lights or constellations, light a bonfire or do something else for an hour or 2? I know it is tough. Most people are headed to their beds, trail heads are closed for the day, restaurants stop serving food, etc. etc. Night owls have their own problems, too :)

Suggest a meetup that works for you. I get off work at 330, so 6 or 7 is a compromise for me already. But if u suggest something, I'm sure some of us will be happy to join you at being a night owl.

Unfortunately, the museum doesn't validate; I found that out recently. If you park in a city lot on the weekend, though, it's a $5 flat rate for the day.

True, and I haven't parked in downtown SJ recently, but the garages used to be free after 6pm

Any idea where to park in that area? I am also interested in car pooling, in case any slacker wants to join.

There are 2 or 3 garages within walking distance, and you can try your luck with metered parking as well.

I just went to see this last weekend so I'm going to pass but I highly recommend it; it's an interesting exhibit.
