Hello group,

I am very sorry to see Gadi, Jamie and Eyran stepping down from managing this group.

I've consulted BlackBerry and got their approval to keep this extremely important group going.

I'll begin with a short introduction: My name is Shlomi Gavra and I'm a BlackBerry addict since (many) years. Before you ask...Yes, I do use other platforms as well :-). I love mobile technology and in my spare time trying to polish my rusty programming skills and maybe return to my long gone coding days. I'm a proud member of the BlackBerry Dev. (and social) Elite group which consists of selected top influencing people worldwide, as well as the founder and co-owner of Israel's top BlackBerry news and tech blog: http://www.berryil.com

As you know, BlackBerry nowadays exercises an intensive structural change as part of their turnaround process. Part of the process is redefining all dev. groups worldwide.

We all know Israel is one of the top tech. savvy countries, and the mobile app world is no exception. Many of the world's top mobile developers are located here. As such, BlackBerry  also regards Israel as a very important dev. community.

I'm aware that during 2013, BlackBerry experienced some hick-ups (to say the least), but can assure you  that the new management under John Chen's leadership is very serious and fully committed to turning the company around.Otherwise, I wouldn't step up to assume this position.

I'd like to ask each and one of you to join me in this journey. Obviously I won't be able to do this all by myself.

We will be starting to arrange our first group meetup for 2014 that is aimed to take place after the Passover holiday and I really hope to see you there. Details will follow.

Until then, you are more than welcome to email me privately at: [address removed] or respond to this message with a short introduction as well as your impressions.

I'm looking forward to get your responses, ideas, apps, criticism etc. Together we will "Keep Moving"!!

Sincerely (and Hag Sameach to you all),

Shlomi
