Can't Get Enough SERENITY

Who ever gets tired of seeing Serenity on the big screen???

NOT ME!

Cineplex is once again hosting the Great Digital Film Festival at Scotiabank Theatre downtown and Langley Colossus Theatre.

Serenity will be shown twice; Saturday, Feb. 4 @ 9:35 pm and Tues. Feb. 7 @ 4:45 pm.  http://www.cineplex.com/Movies/MovieDetails...

You can go to either theatre. Say in your RSVP which theatre you'll be going to; the Scotiabank Theatre at 900 Burrard Street, Vancouver, or Langely Colossus at 20090 91A Ave, Langley.

If you want to meet up before the show, post when and where in the comments section.

Chad & I will be having dinner at Earl's Restaurant before heading to the Scotiabank Theatre.

In Langely there is a White Spot, an Old Spaghetti Factory, a Boston Pizza and an East Side Mario's all pretty close to the theatre if you decide to meet up for dinner before the show.

For those going to the Scotiabank Theatre in Vancouver, Chad and I will be at Earls Restaurant, 905 Hornby St at 6:30pm for dinner before heading over to watch the movie. Let me know if you will join us so I can tell the restaurant how many will be there.

Turns out we can't actually make reservations for that Earls for Saturday night, but we can call ahead and get our names on the waitlist for a table, so I'll call at around 5:30pm and hopefully we'll have a table by 6:30pm.

Man, I hope they can fit us all in. In addition to those listed above, I have Kate, Paul, Robert, Julia and Joe. That's 14. I'm thinking I'll just ask for 2 tables close together.

Had lots of fun at dinner and the movie.

There were plenty of them ugly hats around - very dedicated crowd and all tickets got sold.

Movie was GREAT! Big heartache was the demise of Wash & the Shepherd, two of the main characters. Was this good or bad??? Don't know. Makes it more 'real life' and opens up new plot developments, but does it change the structure, dynamics and milieu of the story and show??? Talking with other BC Browncoats, they tell me the movie closed up open ends to the TV episodes. My question is: "How so?"
  • Gayle
It was good to hang out with the Browncoats again - and to see the new digitalised verison of "Serenity".
