Book Club
The BC Humanist Book Club will be held on the first Tuesday of every month at Our Town Cafe. The event is free, but consider supporting the venue by purchasing a drink or snack.
In March we will be discussing Steven Pinker's The Better Angels of our Nature. If you are unable to complete his 700 page epic, consider reading some of the summaries and critiques provided by Simon: http://saidsimon.wordpress.com/2012/02/08/a...

Most books are available at the Vancouver Public Library or local book stores.

I think this book should lead to a good discussion. The question of what are the Better Angles in Nature is highly contentious with many people supporting acute angles like 15° or 20°, while others advocate for obtuse angles as high as 170° or even 260° as the Better Angles of our Nature.
