Incredible trip. The best people ever to travel/hike/slog through the mud and enjoy truly magical sunsets with. Thanks guys for not making us girls carry or fetch water, or light any fires (well except when Hana had to prove she really could if she had to!)... great experience in so many ways!

This was truly a "7" star adventure. What an amazing group of people to have this adventure of a life time with. Wonderful challenging route, water taxi with George, gorgeous sunsets, beaches, rocks, mud, ropes, ladders, cable cars, more mud, nice bog and not so nice bog, coloured drinking water (thank you aqua tabs, mio flavouring and nuuns), lighthouse (Todd his cats and dog & coke and tea), bear, eagles, osprey diving for dinner, Ranger at Eric Lake, the shuttle and accomodating driver on the way back, the post hike beer and greasy food, and the list goes on. Thank you Elspeth for taking on this hike and seeing it through to the end; all the time masking your pain. Missed you Michael. Thank you everyone else for contributing in so many ways to the success of this adventure.

Thank you, Elspeth, for taking over this fabulous trip, and carrying it through with your abscessed tooth! It speaks to your strength and determination. This hike is truly the highlight of my summer and exceeded my expectations. I don't know where to start with comments because everybody contributed so much to make it fun and safe despite the sometimes less than ideal conditions... so I'll send you each an email and keep this short. I have no doubt that beautiful north coast sand will serve as a regular reminder as it shows up on future hikes ;). See you on the Juan de Fuca!

Thanks everyone for such a great. memorable time. I really enjoyed hiking with you all, and hope that you have real success in removing the mud and sand form your gear. I have opted to just burn my gear and repurchase everything. A special thanks to Mark "Turbo Driver" who somehow managed to make the 1930 ferry.

Hi everybody. Just wondering if we want to coordinate gear so we are not all carrying duplicates of things like water filters, rope to hang packs, clothesline, first aid, etc. Just a thought. Can't wait for tomorroww!!!!!

Well the Weather Network tells me we're going to have some pretty great weather on this trip: http://www.theweathernetwork.com/14-day-weather-trend/canada/british-columbia/port-hardy

I want to remind everyone that even though we have a pretty stellar forecast, its going to be much cooler up there and we're going to need warm clothing and rain gear. I swear Port Hardy is the rain capital of the world... I used to live there, so let's be prepared and hopefully we won't need any of it!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
