Our mission is to empower members to cope successfully in a variety of adverse scenarios ranging from natural disasters, accidents to remote wilderness settings.
We provide opportunities to learn specific skills: anything from bush craft and first aid to firearms handling and self-defense.
Outdoor activities are part of what we do (hiking, camping, canoeing and others). Sometimes we'll add a learning component (shelter building, compass navigation, foraging for plants etc.). Other times it's the sheer pleasure of being close to nature that brings us together.
Our philosophy of self-reliance extends to our daily lives and our interests include homesteading, off-grid living, sustainable food production, ethical meat sourcing and general environmental awareness.
We come from diverse backgrounds and our individual objectives may vary but we share in this common philosophy.
