We all love our 4 legged friends, but do you know how to help them if they get injured? If your dog gets injured on a hiking trip it is very possible you won’t be able to get veterinarian care for hours. Pet First Aid & CPR Certification may become a requirement for some of the Hike Leader’s future dog friendly hikes/backpacking trips. We want to keep everyone safe on trips, including our dogs. This course is offered at a discount of $65.00 (others charge $95 and more for the same Pet Tech certification).
About the Pet First Aid & CPR
Instructed by Pet Tech Master Instructor, Malinda Malone, our CPR & First Aid course will cover the topics needed to take the best possible care of your pet including, but not limited to, primary assessment, rescue breathing, seizures, as well as guidance about when pets should be taken to the veterinarian for professional care. According to the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) 1-out-of-4 more pets would survive, if just one pet first aid technique was applied prior to getting emergency veterinary care.
Students will receive a Pet Tech Certificate and carrying card upon completion of this class. Your card is valid for one year. This hands-on course will keep you engaged throughout with demonstrations of each technique learned.
