ADVANCED WILDERNESS FIRST AID

ADVANCED WILDERNESS FIRST AID (Including CPR/AED)

COURSE DESCRIPTION: S.O.L.O. certified Advanced Wilderness First Aid/CPR & AED Course.

Wilderness First Aid and CPR is the recommended minimum level of training for outdoor recreation and people working in outdoor or remote locations. Advanced Wilderness First Aid is targeted toward outdoor professionals, Search And Rescue members, Boy Scout leaders, trip leaders, outdoor enthusiasts and others who may find themselves beyond the urban emergency medical services system where there are extended patient contact times and the need to provide care with limited or improvised equipment.

The AWFA class is 32 hours (4 days on 2 weekends) and includes CPR & AED. Advanced Wilderness Frsat Aid includes more topics and skills practice than the 16 hour Basic Wilderness First Aid class. The training is practical, hands-on, and focuses on managing scenarios with the equipment typically carried in the field.
