Tell us about your backpacking, canyoneering, or hiking experience.

Hiking, climbing & Mtb guide for a phx adventure tour company. If I'm not working I'm in the wilderness.

What's been your favorite destination to date?

I'm choosing 2: earlier this year rafting the Colorado and the kalalau trail in Kauai.

What's been your toughest trip in the last 2 years? Why?

Colorado. Private trip. Lots of work. Tough conditions. Loved every second of it.

Where would you like to go backpacking, canyoneering, or hiking that you haven't gone?

Anywhere I haven't been. Would love to get I to Utah to explore some canyons.

Avid adventurer. Own too much gear. Jk that's not possible. Live for the outdoors - hiking, backpacking, Mtb, kayak, hammocks and jumping pictures

What Nick T. is saying about this Meetup Group

Great collection of people. How could you not boast about this group when you have food prepped by Le Chef? Being the only ground dweller, I thought at first, I might be an outcast - not at all. I just had the pick of the best spots for my tent! Also, I can't thank Joe enough for his ingenious idea to bury some hot rocks under my tent after I forgot to pack my sleeping pad (that's why my pack was so light!). The temp dropped down to 21, and I think I may have been the warmest sleeper that night! Being a hammock enthusiast (or so I thought), I was put in check by being surrounded by all hangers. I was recreational, these guys are for real. Everyone was very cool about showing me their rigs, and I can see my wallet getting lighter in the very near future to get up off the ground. Good drinks, good company, good food - does it get much better in the backcountry?
