Tell us about your backpacking, canyoneering, or hiking experience.

I have a lot of hiking experience but don't have any backpacking or canyoneering experience...hope you don't hold it against me. I've camped all my life and love to hike; therefore, I think backpacking would be a great fit for me. I actually have all the gear...had a trip planned to the grand canyon, which got cancelled. A number of years ago I went on an REI trip to Belieze and really enjoyed caving, which is why I think I'd really enjoy canyoneering.

What's been your favorite destination to date?

Gosh it's hard to pick. One of my favorites was hiking the napali coast in Kauai (we hiked in about 6 miles but didn't backpack it...I must get back there). I also loved hiking the Canadian Rockies...did an REI Adventures trip there, it was incredible. Back closer to home, there are a ton of trails I've enjoyed in Arizona, really like the Blue Ridge Resovore area. Most of the stuff I've done is from the hiking books; therefore, looking to connect with some avid local hikers to explore different, less know areas.

What's been your toughest trip in the last 2 years? Why?

Where would you like to go backpacking, canyoneering, or hiking that you haven't gone?

Hi, I'm Nicole. I love being outdoors and have been away from it for too long. I'm looking to get back into the swing of things and have heard good things about the group.
