●  Network with economists, investment bankers, strategists and corporate financiers from across Europe

●  Meet Alphaville bloggers such as Paul Murphy and FT columnists Andrew Hill and Lucy Kellaway

●  Gather a group of colleagues or friends and test your financial knowledge against other teams to win the Alphaville Cup in the inaugural Financial Challenge

●  Breakout in inflatable igloos whilst discussing a range of topics from Emerging Markets to currencies to commodities

Plus enjoy some of the best of London’s street food and take part in loads more fun activities and giveaways on the day!

What else can I expect?

We have a literal big tent and know too many world class investors, strategists, bankers, bloggers and policy makers to limit it to just one stage. We’ll find room for many topics dear to our hearts, from tales of short sellers playing detective to dark inventory in China to the real deal on shale gas.

We’re also going to have some fun. Lucy Kellaway will be on stage to solve your problems, there are a couple of fascinating mystery speakers lined up, while the FT’s Management Editor Andrew Hill will run our attempt at university challenge meets a pub quiz throughout the day. Get your teams entered now.

But above all, it’s about our readers. We’re expecting a good crowd from the buy-side, the sell-side, and beyond. We want you to come, network, hear our thoughts, add some of your own and leave with fresh ideas and contacts.

About FT Alphaville

FT Alphaville is a free daily news and commentary service giving finance professionals the information they need, when they need it. In a world where market professionals are inundated with information there is a pressing need to edit and filter, and hopefully sow a few ideas along the way. That’s where the FT Alphaville team comes in. The FT Alphaville editorial team is headed by Paul Murphy, a financial journalist who has spent more than a decade commenting on financial sector developments and breaking large takeover news.
