FREE EVENT! Big Data Topic: Enterprise Architecture – In the Era of Big Data and Quantum Computing

Find us on Twitter: @knowledgent or info about this event #BigDataPalooza

Overview: Big Data – Enterprise Architecture perspective – BigData Use Cases including Quantum Computing

Speaker:  James V Luisi, Enterprise Architect at Knowledgent, Author of Pragmatic Enterprise Architecture: Strategies to Transform Information Systems in the Era of Big Data and Quantum Computing

Prior books: Sensitive by Nature: Understanding Intelligence and the Mind

The goal of Enterprise Architecture in the Era of BigData and Quantum Computing is to explore the modern role of Enterprise Architecture to educate and influence business and IT in the frameworks required for BigData and the various families of use cases, and the technologies appropriate for each. This includes a glimpse into advanced commercial and proprietary technologies to solve certain classes of problems that previously were outside the grasp of IT. The trend for many companies is to rush into a particular technology, without understanding the nature of the problems that need to be solved and understanding the ground work that must be in place to be successful. The goal is not to throw technologies against the wall to see what sticks, but instead it is to understand how one can deliver various types of business solutions that were previously not affordable, and in some cases not available at any price.Besides, the pizza and beer is free.

*Admission is FREE to this event, Knowledgent will sponsor pizza, beer and  (non alcoholic Beverages) for all attendees.  Many thanks to the AlleyNYC for hosting our event.

Interesting material by Jim covered a really very broad range -- from corporate IT architecture practices to deep computer science.

Content was interesting, but presenter (Jim) would have done better if he were miked. And/or, he should have not faced the screen or side wall. A soft-spoken individual needs to face forward to present.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
