2012 Happy Hour!

This location is shown only to members

Hello tennis friends!

I hope everyone is doing well and watching some exciting 2012 Aussie Open tennis! How about the young Romanian Sorana Cirstea ousting Sam Stosur in the women’s first round and the COME BACK KID Bernard Tomic who rallied from two sets down to advance to the second round against Fernando Verdasco.

It’s only going to get better so be sure to catch a few games. With that said let’s meet-up for our first happy hour for 2012 in Park Slope Brooklyn!! So if you’re in the area or have no plans for the evening stop by and join me for cocktails, finger food, tennis talk, and a little F&L!! Hope to see you there. If anyone has any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. LET’S GO FED!

Cheers!
Dave

Australian Open is shaping up to be pretty good :) Let's try to find a place/bar with big screen(s) where we can get together and watch tournament matches on a regular basis... Any ideas?

What a match the men's final was!!! I am a Rafa Nadal fan, so I am a bit heartbroken :) But I must say I enjoyed every moment of the match. Your thoughts?

My thoughts? Well...if Novak keeps this up he'll be the greatest of all time. Ive never seen anyone who can out shot make Federer and out will Nadal... Novak is amazing.

@Inydb: Such a heartbreaking loss :-/ ?I?ve never been a big Nadal fan until today. He wanted that win SO bad. Reminded me of that Roddick vs. Federer match at Wimbledon(?) from a few years back.

What a great match! It will definitely be recorded as one of the best Slams ever played. I would have like Rafa to win but iron man Novak had a little extra and refuse to lose.

Rafa had it in the bag in the 5th set at 4-2, 30:15 when he missed a crucial shot. That point, that minute he just wasn't there mentally. Oh well. Roland Garros next, he'll take that :) Vamos!

Even though we werent on the court, it was good to be with the group again - I enjoyed it. Especially nice to see some newbies there too - looks like our "rep" is getting out. Looking forward to attending future ones! Thanks to Dave, Hillary & Robert for making it fun.
