7:00pm 2011 BKTK Holiday Party!

Come meet and mingle with fellow technologists, designers, and bloggers from Brooklyn and beyond, in an informal setting. No cover: just RSVP here and show up! There will be food, booze*, eggnog, cheer, and networking (although not necessarily in that order).

*Note, the venue is BYOB, so feel free to bring your favorite beer, wine, or other beverage.

8:00pm WordPress Presentation

While WordPress isn't inherently "social" off-the-shelf, there are a number of ways to enhance your WordPress-powered blog to connect with and publish to social media. You can even use WordPress to build your own social network. Tony Zeoli, founder of Digital Strategy Works, will discuss how you can enhance WordPress with social tools, which enable you to track your social performance, cross post into social networks, or turn your website into a niche social hub! This was one of the most heavily attended presentations at this year's WordCamp Raleigh. Think you know everything there is to know about WordPress? Come anyway, you just might learn something.

Tony Zeoli is an experienced digital strategist and entrepreneur. Through his Digital Strategy Works consulting organization, Tony has assisted companies, non-profits, and institutions in the development and deployment of WordPress website, blogs, and social platforms.

It was great! Very informative and nice to chat with like-minded people! Maybe have a handout to follow the speaker with? Still, it was fun and interesting...and social, like Wordpress can be tailored to become!
