Let's share our stories, resources, and strategies in a safe, nonjudgmental space. (NOTE: Not a “pity party.”) A little time for caregivers to talk openly about/focus on themselves rather than the needs of others.

Whether you are caring for an elder, a partner, a child, a sibling, a child with special needs, or someone else - out of love, out of obligation, or both - being a caregiver takes a tremendous toll. There are an estimated 44 million caregivers nationwide, most of them women. Our time, physical health, finances, patience, relationships, and mental health can all be severely strained.

COST: Free

WHAT TO BRING
• Whatever you want to drink
• Books and resources you've found helpful
• UNSIGNED documents to be notarized (POAs, last wills, living wills)
• Photo ID if you are having documents notarized

ARE YOUR OWN DOCUMENTS IN ORDER?
Caregivers are so caught up in emergencies, appointments, crises, duties, and the grinding stress of caregiving... we often neglect our own important matters. Who will make decisions for *you* if you become incapacitated? Do you have *your* Last Will and Testament, Living Will, medical and legal Powers of Attorney, and/or DNR up-to-date? If you do not have - but need - any or all of these documents, email [masked] ASAP. A woman will be here tonight to notarize your documents. IMPORTANT NOTE: Bring everything completely unsigned – our notary needs to see all signatures happen in front of her. Also bring photo ID to prove it’s really you. Thanks.

Great to meet and see everyone. The caregivers meeting was
very imformative, and I learned a lot. Nice going Toni.
I always enjoy going to Mary's home.
