“ As Sam said, it's sometimes hard to see the bigger pircture when you're caught up in the hear and now. The 30 years ahead trope offers some good insight into technical, commercial and cultural possibilities, and we're all of us going to live in the future. Just look 30 years back to see how people and technology developed differently from the way we imagined. ”
— Jack Powers on Sep 8, 2009.
“ This was my first event. I think these are more for the 20-something crowds, but I'm trying to keep my mind open. If you are younger and interested in the future, they have some cool things to learn about, but then again, you probably already know about many of them. ”

“ This is more like a salon than a conventional meetup. Sam Lessin is a gracious host and it's very low key genial crowd. Most of the attendees know each other from other events, so it has a homey feeling and the goal is not so much to network and hand business cards around, but to discuss ideas. And it's in Brooklyn which is an adventure for a Manhattan centric tech industry. It's good to get off the island for an evening and realize it's is an island and there are other things going on in other places in NY Brooklyn being one of them. ”
