The gaming industry has undergone massive transformation over the past thirty years. Gaming consoles, PC gaming, online gaming and now social gaming are all products of the last three decades. Most fundamentally, gaming has evolved beyond an industry into a set of tools that are used to drive engagement and behavior online and offline.

This month, we’ll discuss what gaming will look like +30 years.

The event features a panel that represents game design, development and commercialization on a variety of platforms. Panelists include:

Ben Feder CEO, Take Two Interactive: Ben Feder, a partner of ZelnickMedia since 2001, became Chief Executive Officer and Director of Take-Two in March 2007. Mr. Feder oversees ZelnickMedia's interest in Columbia Music Entertainment (CME) of Japan. He serves on the board of CME, traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Prior to co-founding ZelnickMedia, Mr. Feder was Chief Executive Officer of MessageClick, Inc., a leading provider of voice messaging technology for next generation telephone networks.

Stephen Totilo Editor, Kotaku: Stephen Totilo is a reporter based in Brooklyn, New York. He’s the deputy editor for video gaming blog Kotaku. Prior to that he covered video games for MTV News and created a reality show for Vh1. His writing about video games has also appeared in The New York Times, Newsweek, Time and Slate.com

Eric Zimmerman CEO, GameLab: Eric Zimmerman is a game designer and the co-founder and CEO of Gamelab, a computer game development company, which is known for the game Diner Dash. Each year Zimmerman hosts the Game Design Challenge at the Game Developers Conference. He is also the co-author of 4 books including Rules of Play with Katie Salen, which was published in November 2004. He has taught at universities including MIT, the University of Texas at Austin, Parsons School of Design, New York University, Rhode Island School of Design and School of Visual Arts.

The panel will be moderated by Brad Hargreaves, Entrepreneur in Residence at Tipping Point Partners. The event is being hosted in partnership with the New York Gaming Meetup.
