I know this is far for many of you in this group but it's worth the trip if you can make it. It's already posted in my south shore group with about 20 attending already. http://www.meetup.com/socialnetwork-1414/events/178122292/
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE ENTRY !
This was one of our most popular events of last year and will certainly sell out.
Last year when I asked Doug from Billington Sea Kayak to put this together for us he was a little apprehensive. But after more than 6 very successful Full moon Kayak Meetups they have decided to put it on their own calendar on the Saturday evening closest to the full moon... For twice the price that they are charging us I might add. They are charging us the discounted rate because it was our group that made it such a great success).
YOU MUST PREPAY ON THEIR WEBSITE TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT!
The cost is $25 - Please remember to use the promo codeMEETUP50 (all caps, no spaces) to provide meetup members with 50% off of the list price of $50. Please don't delay pre-paying for this. They have a generous refund policy and this will sell out.
Here is the LINK FOR ONLINE PREPAYMENT for the Moonlight Paddle on Tuesday May 13th from 6:30-9:30pm:
REFUND POLICY is a full refund if notice is received at least 24 hours prior to the event. We will accept cash at the event but prefer using the online system but don't count on any spots being available. Refunds if rescheduled or cancelled.
Price includes 1.5 hours of guided paddling with a BSK guide and all of the gear that you’ll need (Kayak, paddle, PFD).
Stick around after your tour for a pot-luck dinner and campfire at the BSK boathouse! Bring your own food and drink and relax while the BSK staff tends the fire. This option is great for a large group. Call[masked] for more information.Full Moon Kayak Tour and Campfire
The Full Moon brings out some of the best paddling that Billington Sea has to offer. Let the moonlight (and our staff) be your guide on this magical twilight paddle. This tour starts with a trip across the lake to take in the sunset and full moon. We’ll continue the tour by moonlight and return to a nice, warm campfire at the BSK boathouse! This was our most popular event during the 2013 season and is a great way for large groups to enjoy the outdoors and mingle together
Please bring a flashlight, a towel and food and wear clothes (bathing suit) and shoes that can get wet. There are places to pull up the boats and swim.
