Oh! No! YesSQL Again? Not Possible!?

NoSQL is slaying the RDB dragons throwing the SQL row farmers and DBAs into disarray with their fast columns, key values, graphs etc.   Even Oracle has a NoSQL offering, clearly it is the end of the database as we knew it.  ACID is out, BASE is in!

But Wait! Rumors are emerging of secret YesSQL efforts seeking to reclaim some of the NoSQL space.  Is this just RDB vendor FUD or is fire under the YesSQL smoke?  Is there an unholy RDB FP conspiracy?  Join us for a provocative, informative and entertaining talk by Dave Thomas who is often at the lunatic fringe of technology.

Dave is widely known for his work on languages, runtimes and environments and a founder of the Agle Alliance.  His database experience includes keyed and inverted files, hierarchical, network, relational, object, versions stores, YesSQL technologies, end user query and visualization.  He has pioneered unique industrial innovations in high-performance database refactoring, object serialization and cross-vendor data migration.

Everyone in the group will no doubt already know of Dave Thomas who is a huge supporter of our local technical community. His talks are always fun and very enlightening. Dave has kindly offered one his evenings during a very hectic trip in September to come at talk at our humble NoSQL group. Let's put in a good show! Thanks Dave for offering your time, we all appreciate it!

Bloody good fun. It's always great listening to Dave talk. I'm now keen to learn more about esoteric, dense programming languages.
